Acupressure

What Is Acupressure?

Acupressure is an ancient and widespread healing method practiced all over the world. The application of acupressure is by deep ischemic pressure using the finger or elbow at certain points on the body. Acupressure is similar to acupuncture however it does not involve needles to stimulate the points.

The points are located along meridians which are best described as energy channels that run throughout the body. Meridians relate directly to all tissue of the body. When restrictions to the flow of this energy occur it often results in discomfort or dis-ease. Acupressure is a great method of resolving this common musculoskeletal complaint.
